FAQ
Q. Is financing available?A. Yes. We have extensive financing options including many with no interest and no payments. |
Q. Can you line my tub even if it bumps out in the front?A. Yes. The factory can create a liner with a “bump,” smooth curse, or sculpted curve in front. We can line nearly any style of bathtub, except claw-foot tubs. |
Q. Can you install a shower basin liner in my custom-sized ceramic tile shower?A. Yes. Our bathtubs, basins, and liners are fully customized to fit the exact size and shape of your current or created tub or shower space. |
Q. Will the acrylic’s color yellow over time? Will the gloss start to dull?A. Because both the color and gloss are cast throughout our acrylic, the color will not yellow, and the shine will last for decades as long as the product isn’t exposed to abrasive cleaners. |
Q. How are you able to complete installations so quickly?A. We never use subcontractors, and our entire staff is well-trained on our one-of-a-kind systemized process. Also, our acrylic liners, replacement tubs, and shower basins are specifically designed to work with existing plumbing systems, and this helps us save an average of 30 labor hours per job. |
Q. How long can I expect a tub liner from NewBath to last?A. The acrylic we use has a life expectancy of 25 to 30 years, and with proper care, the liner won’t chip, peel, crack, or fade. The high-gloss luster can also be expected to last indefinitely. |
Q. What if I decide to repair or refinish my bathtub instead of getting a tub liner or a new tub?A. Refinishing and repairing your bathtub will make it look fine for now, but due to cracking, peeling, or discoloration, you can expect to make repeat applications every one to three years. An acrylic tub liner, however, offers warmth to the touch, a beautiful luster, ease of maintenance, and a warranty. |
Q. What is a bathtub liner?A. The bathtub liners we offer are 3/8 inches think and are custom-molded to fit right on top of your existing bathtub. To ensure a perfect fit, we take photos of your current bathtub, along with several measurements of its dimensions, which we enter into a special software program. A sheet of acrylic is then thermal-formed to the exact size and shape of your current tub. |
Q. Can you create a liner for my shower too?A. Yes. To create an acrylic liner for your shower, we will take measurements of the shower floor. The liner will be installed over your existing shower base, whether it is tile, concrete, or terrazoo. |
Q. What can you do for my ceramic tile walls?A. We offer acrylic wall systems that can be fitted and installed right over your existing walls. These systems cover the entire area from floor to ceiling and feature a bull-nose on the front edge of the two side walls to create a perfectly finished appearance. We use a special, mildew-resistant siliconized sealant in the seams, and color-match it to the walls. |
Q. Will my new bathtub liner be easy to clean?A. Yes. Acrylic is non-porous, which makes it resistant to mold and mildew, so you will never have to scrub your bath again. You can use nearly any non-abrasive cleaner, as long as it doesn’t contain ammonium. If you prefer to use bleach and water, or a product like Kaboom or Zep, those are fine options as well. Q. What colors can I choose from?A. Our wall surrounds are available in more than 100 color and pattern combinations, including some that emulate the look of granite, stone, and marble. |
Q. Can I have a wall surround installed in an area with a window?A. Yes. We have applications to fit any style window, and can also improve the seal around the window. |
Q. What if I just want to purchase a wall surround?A. Depending on the type of bath system you currently have, you may be able to just replace the wall surround, especially if the tub or shower is in good condition. |
Q. Will the door leak on the walk in tubs?A. No! The outward pressure because of all the water in the tub along with our special seal system keep our tubs from leaking. We also offer a lifetime “no leak” guarantee on our doors. |
Q. Can you install a walk-in tub without the jets?A. Yes. We have soaker tubs that still offer all the safety advantages of walk-ins but at a lower price than tubs with the therapy options. |
